Tobong’u Lore is an annual festival held in Lodwar Ekaales Centre that seeks to showcase Turkana’s cultural and tourist endowments.
During the annual event, touted as one of the largest cultural festival in the country, the Turkana showcase a variety of their cultural heritage; ranging from songs and dances, artefacts, food, costumes and rituals.
Hotels are often fully books, even as confirmed by the county’s chamber of commerce chairman Charles Lorogoi.
The county is said to be panning to spend Kshs. 33 million on this year’s fete.
