This afternoon, Inspector General Joseph Boinnet ordered Regional Police Commanders to invoke Section 40 of the Traffic Act and recommend the revocation of driving licences of drivers found dangerously or recklessly driving.
Boinnet believes this move will help lower the rise in fatal crashes on Kenyan roads and push drivers into being a little more responsible behind the wheel.
Following this order, the next time you’re found dangerously driving will probably be the last time you see your precious driver’s license in a long time.
