Parents of a pupil enrolled at Gremon Education Centre in Bamburi, Mombasa County, are crying out for justice after their young son was brutally punished for a meagre crime.
The 13-year-old boy identified as “Caleb” is reported to have received a severe physical beating from the headteacher who found him in possession of a chapati belonging to one of the school’s tutors.
After delivering his own strokes of the cane, the angry headteacher deemed it not enough and ordered the rest of the school to give him an additional two canes each.
First up were the junior primary students, followed by their older counterparts in the senior primary level.
By the time the entire school was done ruthlessly whooping Caleb, he could barely stand or walk.
Even worse, for over a week, the management at Gremon Education Centre kept his near-death experience a secret.
It took the effort of his traumatized classmates to ensure the news of his affliction reached his mother and father back at home through a parent who had gone to visit her daughter at the school.
Caleb is currently receiving treatment at0 the Coast General Hospital where doctors now fear he has developed a kidneys related problem as a result of the pain inflicted by the beatings.
Below are some more horrifying images showing the severe physical injuries that the boy suffered at the hands of his educators.
