Workers at a premier private city club situated in the heart of the new business district of Westlands have sent out a distress call over continued mistreatment.
Speaking exclusively to a loyal patron who opted to stay anonymous, the distressed jobholders exposed Capital Club for the gross violation of both their human and employee rights by the institution’s rogue General Manager of Asian descent.
The middle-aged lady identified as Ms Nasrin, is known to be openly rude and racially discriminative towards indigenous Kenyans employed at the highly-rated entertainment hub.
Most recently, she is said to have completely gone against labour laws and forced a female employee who had injured herself while on duty to report to work despite being on medical leave.
When any of the affected staff members attempt to seek an audience over the inhumane state of affairs, the Asian GM immediately serves them termination letters.
How does a mere General Manager have so much power, you wonder?
Well, according to our source, it is an open secret that Nasrin enjoys a very friendly relationship with one of the male directors at Capital Club East Africa.
To make matters worse, employees have been left completely helpless since the Human Resources Manager lead identified as “Joyce” is reported to be in bed with Ms Nasrin.
“Hi. I have some sensitive information I witnessed at a prestigious establishment that is mistreating staff. How do I share without compromising the people? The Subject is Capital Club in Westlands a private members-only Club. I also don’t want to be referenced as I used to be a member but was visiting today.
The GM one Nasrin of Asian origin forced employees to work whilst on medical leave saying she actually said she doesn’t care if they come with their broken arms and limbs or cut legs.
The employees in question are in tears and duress and wonder who is there to protect them.
I saw them and spoke with them. Further, it is understood she is threatening core people with warning letters that contravenes labour laws.
It is understood she has relationships with one of the directors. Some key member companies are upset about the loss of professionalism.
HR lead Joyce is working in sync with the GM who is never on the floor even to great members.
I would ordinarily never get involved in this sharing but I feel it is demeaning of black indigenous Kenyans by an Asian lady whilst we all watch,” reads the submission sent to our newsdesk on Friday, 4th March 2022.
The entire team at cnyakundi.com heavily condemns these brutal acts of injustice meted towards these helpless employees.
In the absence of the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (Cotu) Secretary-General Francis Atwoli – who abdicated duties and deeply immersed his head in the murky waters of Kenyan politics – our newsdesk will continue to amplify the voices of suffering Kenyan workers.
We urge all relevant bodies to swiftly move in and rescue Capital Club staff members from the hands of the Asian oppressor.
