Hello Nyakundi,
I wish to highlight the Chinese attempts to frustrate the takeover of the SGR by KRC through the top AFRISTAR management led by the DGM Sammy Gachuhi and the HR Mary Mwihaki with the assistance of a few Kenyan staff who are set to lose big once the operations head to KRC for they have awarded themselves hefty salaries fraudulently ranging 100k-300k with certificate and diploma level qualifications and its common knowledge they will be demoted and their salaries slashed as per the policy of KRC structures.
Therefore, this cabal has formed an alliance with the Chinese to be used to offer interviews and briefings to the KRC Board during the transition preparedness visits that the Kenyan staff haven’t been fully trained and are incapable of taking over operations scheduled for June this year to push the agenda of AFRISTAR to have their expensive contract extended for a further 5 years.
On Thursday, March 10th, the MD and Board of KRC had the first visit to the SGR Nairobi terminus and workshops to assess the readiness and progress of the scheduled takeover. Surprisingly, the DGM Sammy Gachuhi was missing and the Kenyan staff handpicked appeared coached and followed a certain script while addressing the senior team.
A well-known locomotive driver Owire who is always used by the management to give interviews in exchange for favours and higher perks shocked everyone by the level of disrespect and unprofessionalism while addressing the board. She seemed to have been instructed to speak in a manner that is opaque and uncooperative.
Starting yesterday the 14th the DGM and HR have embarked on a trip to the Mombasa section from Voi to convince staff to show KRC that they are not ready, they aren’t fully trained and the operations won’t succeed if KRC takes over this June.
The same Kenyan staff who have been crying to their own government to be saved from the toxic work environment are now being used by the Chinese and the chief agents to frustrate their government.
The DGM and the top AFRISTAR team have panicked and are trying to save their fraudulent careers since they are unqualified to hold their positions in the event KRC takes over the project.

The resistance to takeover the SGR is now being pushed through the Kenyan staff and some are cooperating KRC should be wary of the new developments and tactics and take action against such unprofessionalism.
