Winnie Odinga, daughter of ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga, has become the leading topic of discussion on social media after reports emerged that the lass held a heated exchange with a top Kenyan envoy during her father’s recent visit to the United Kingdom.
The conversation was sparked by the rumoured son of a prominent Ruto-allied Cabinet Secretary after he published an explosive Tweet on Sunday, 20th March 2022, claiming how the outspoken 31-year-old left diplomats at the Kenyan High Commission in the UK totally confounded after she verbally abused their boss, Mr Manoah Esipisu.
As asserted by the popular Twitter user, Ms Odinga was reportedly furious at the former State House Spokesperson after her father and his entourage missed their flight back home.
The costly delay was attributed to Raila’s designated driver who was allegedly unable to locate the Heathrow Airport VIP gate in time for take-off.
“Apparently, Winnie O. verbally abused the Kenyan High Commissioner to the U.K. after they missed their flight back to Kenya.
The driver couldn’t locate VIP gate but somehow that was the ambassador’s fault.
You’d have to be a very capricious egomaniac to think it’s okay to fix your mouth and insult a High Commissioner.

The incident took place on the day the Azimio La Umoja presidential flagbearer concluded his 5-day visit to the Colonizer’s land.
Governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Cotu boss Francis Atwoli and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth are said to have been present when Winnie gave Mr Esipisu the public dress down.
Also present were Siaya Senator James Orengo and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed.
Funny enough, the embarrassing confrontation was witnessed just hours after the team rallied support for Raila, saying the former Prime Minister is the ‘reset’ button that will “liberate Kenya”.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Odinga’s daughter is ruffling feathers with those around her father.
Ever since the formation of the Raila Odinga 2022 Presidential secretariat a few months ago, some members of the campaign team have complained of her egoistic and arrogant behaviour when dictating duties.
Just recently, a section of loyal supporters of the AU special envoy expressed their disappointment after their names were left out of the delegation that accompanied their leader to London.
Instead, it was the likes of Jubilee Party’s Pauline Njoroge who got the nod for the trip.
The irate group led by a popular but low-rated veteran blogger have been airing their frustrations in hush tones with the fear that Winnie might get wind of the complaints and withdraw all their few-remaining privileges.
Winnie, who is Raila’s last born child, does not shy away from the humongous role she enjoys around Baba.
On numerous occasions, she has proudly acknowledged that she is the official bodyguard, briefcase carrier, driver and travel companion for her dad.
Nowadays, she hardly accords any extra space to anyone else.
Most of her bitter critics at Orange House have described Winnie’s actions as a ramification of her “Tomboy” nature.
It is common knowledge that Winnie doesn’t wear heels but she loves boots and sneakers.
And catch her dead carrying a handbag.
Being the daughter of one of Kenya’s most highly sort after politicians, her style of life and dressing comes with their perks.
Rumours have often been spread that despite living in a glamorous city where gossip blogs talk about relationships all the time, Ms Odinga a lady who is very ripe age for marriage, has never been covered to have a boyfriend or husband to be.
Sometime in 2019, word reached the editor of this site that the highly awarded yet little known energy champion Ogutu Okudo, is allegedly a former lover of Winnie Odinga.
Ms Okudo, 28, was named by Forbes Africa’s list of top 30 under 30. She is the founder and CEO of Women in Energy and Extractives Africa.
Ever since then, the pressure to set the record straight forced her to declare that she will get married at State House in the event that her father wins the August 6th polls.
But that still remains to be seen.
While in the UK, Raila delivered a speech at the famous Chatham House and met Anglican Centenary who is the head of Anglican Church in the world and UK Minister for the Armed Forces James Heappey.
The ODM chief also engaged UK’s Minister of State Foreign Commonwealth and Development Affairs Lord Tariq Ahmed and UK Prime Minister Borris Johnson’s trade envoy to Kenya Theo Clarke.
These latest allegations surrounding his daughter have left netizens pondering hard over what the reality of his presidency would look like should he actually succeed Uhuru Kenyatta.
Will there exist a free and all-inlcusive environment or will Winnie metarmorph into the female version of DP Ruto’s Farouk Kibet?
