This is about St. Francis Misyani Girls High school in Kangudo sub County, Machakos County. On 7th Feb, 2020, the school’s administration called parents for form one orientation and asked parents to pay Ksh5500 for teachers’ motivation and remedial teaching.
On 15th Feb during Annual General Meeting (AGM), they also asked parents to pay Ksh10K to support school project which I found to be not okay and a rip-off since the government nowadays gives all school funds for infrastructure at around Ksh6000 per student, on same day they asked all parents to pay Ksh3200 as support for salaries of teachers employed by the board when there some money from ministry for operational account. That’s is like 18000 on top of first term school fees which is about Ksh19,000.
All this was said openly in a meeting. It’s a point of concern. Kindly hide my identity
