Representatives from SK Macharia owned Royal Media Services have this morning confirmed that infamous Nakuru-born comedian Herman Gakobo Kago alias Prof Hamo is no longer an employee of their subentity HOT 96 FM.
According to a reliable Nairobi tabloid, the Churchill Show star was fired from the radio station about a week ago.
This was due to the emergence of a family scandal between him and fellow entertainer Stella Bunei Koitie alias Jemutai Chibambe after she alleged he had neglected their two kids.
It is reported that apart from the embarrassing spat with his ex-lover, Prof Hamo had crossed paths with some of his seniors at RMS and they saw the scandal as a perfect opportunity to show him the door over “indiscipline”.
His position at Hot 96 is now being temporarily occupied by the station’s Deputy Manager, Clyde Katiba, who will continue to Co-Host the Morning Drive show with Jeff Koinange until a replacement is found.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday afternoon, Jemutai revealed that the DNA results of a paternity test that Prof Hamo had supposedly requested were out.
Through a rather cryptic post on social media, Jemutai, without revealing much, wrote: “DNA results are out 99.9%.”
Last week blogger Edgar Obare had shared a picture of Jemutai, Hamo and his brother in a restaurant and Jemutai responded to the blogger claiming they had met with Churchill and some other guys in an attempt to sort out the issues.
She added that they had taken a DNA test at KEMRI.
