Last year, we exposed the multi-billion scam run by telecommunications company Safaricom, where they were illegally subscribing their customers to spam text schemes, meant for the sole purpose of defrauding their airtime.
The article has been read by close to half a million viewers and shared as a draft on WhatsApp by millions. It is causing Safaricom sleepless nights, as the company grapples with the reality that their cash-cow is now longer removing milk.
But the beginning of this year, it seems that Safaricom has devised a new strategy to defraud clients.
Have you noticed that Safaricom has abnormally consumed your data bundles from January 1st of this year?
Well, there have been many complaints from people who have been loyal customers of Safaricom for years, over the sudden change of data bundle patterns, with them getting exhausted quicker than previously.
Safaricom may be repaying from the “losses” incurred after our exposure of the “Cheza Games Scam” where they seem to have lost a lot of revenue.
Now they want to loot from customers by illegally manipulating their data bundles.
