The Ranen conference, a SDA regional management is said to own academic institutions that are fully sponsored by the church.
The schools include, Ranen Adventist Secondary School, Ranen Adventist Primary School and Sagoro Girls.
Workers at the school accuse the SDA Church of taking advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic to cut down their salaries.
“Since the inception of covid19, the workers were told, both teachers and support staff that they’ll be having a stipend worth 3000/= every month and the schools won’t owe them any money on resumption”, a source who spoke to cnyakundi.com said.
While that is happening, the source claims that church leaders and other executive’s salaries still come in full.
“Church leaders, the executive at the conference, the departmental heads are all receiving there full salaries”, the source wrote.
The source who works at one of the school proposes that the church executives should consider reducing their salaries so as to have the ‘excess’ added to the measly sh3000 given to the school workers.
“A salary cut/slash of the executive could see all the workers get some salary even half….. But we don’t have leaders in the church anymore….. We have tumbocrats…. If you’d publish this and help the workers please,” the source concludes.
