Nation Media Group (NMG) that became a friend of the corrupt Jubilee regime is now staring at reduced revenues.
Even after licking the ass of government, this company is suffering.
The media group, being a powerful tool for change, decided to sleep with the government even though they knew the government was fucking the Kenyan economy.
Looting and corruption continue unabated in government, yet what NMG bosses decided was to tail-wag for the regime even though they knew it would be unsustainable.
Who is the fool now?
If the media had joined Kenyans in the clamour for change, Jubilee would’ve been home by now
What went wrong?
Some few years ago, NMG fired journalists who were deemed critical of the government, among them Gado and Dennis Galava.
Others who towed the line, were spared, but NMG wasn’t the same anymore.
Coupled with the fucked up Kenyan economy, the failing newspaper sales, and viewership has made it hard for the company to pay its sales staff.
The sales staff are the engine of a company’s growth because they bring in millions in revenue, yet they are treated like chaff.
According to a letter we’ve seen, sales people complain of being treated like slaves by the Human Resources Managers.
Almost 20 sales people, they use their money for transport, to buy airtime; bringing in money to pay presenters. Mateso!
‘I have not been paid for 6 months that I worked at Nation, yet I have responsibilities. It’s been six months of hustling, then I decided to quit’, wrote one of the sales people.
The shameful HR manager Veronica Chirchir is a slave driver and inhumane person, she unashamedly went online and wrote a post against minimum wage increase as seen below.
NMG should honor its promise of paying the sales people who have resigned. They have responsibilities for Christ’s sake.
Veronica Chirchir and Angela Mugo should stop applying make up to slay for NMG bosses and pay what they owe the sales people.
Some say that they were promised that they would receive their dues on April 20th, 2019, yet they haven’t.
