Two days ago we exposed that Module 2 (Parallel) students are not being taught at the University of Nairobi (UoN). Well, that has now escalated to ‘no classes until further notice’.
Lecturers are only teaching module 1, government sponsored students, while their counterparts are not being taught.
The Vice Counsellor (VC) Peter ‘Motherfucker’ Mbithi continues to deny that there is a go slow at the institution that he has badly run for since he took over from current Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha.
WhatsApp group chats show irate and distraught students.
However, the only thing lacking is the leadership by student leaders, elected to represent students.
The letter (shown below) that was written by Module 2 student leaders addressed to the VC is lacking in articulation and syntax. One cannot make out what exactly they were saying.
What became of University of Nairobi?
Meanwhile students are wondering when classes will resume.
Three weeks of studies have been wasted and some lecturers have not even covered half of the course units, yet exams are scheduled for end of May, 2019.
Here are some screenshots of the conversations on WhatsApp and the letter by Module 2 leaders.
