- Damaris’s Sad Story: The Cartel Behind Land Grab In Syokimau Part 2
Now that the cartels had seen the amount of money that can be made from the 5 Acre piece of land in Jambush Syokimau, they went bareknuckles.
On 25th April 2019, Damaris received a call from the broker, former chief Mr. Simon Muthama to come for a meeting with clients.
Damaris went to town and at around 12 pm, Mr. Muthama repeated his earlier warning to Damaris that she ‘needs to be careful as DCI detectives were on her trail’.
She wondered why such a thing would be possible. She had done nothing wrong.
Before 12 pm was over, Damaris was accosted by 3 detectives namely Otieno, Karanja and Bwire.
She was frogmarched from Kenya Cinema to GPO where an unmarked police car registration number KCC 634A, was waiting.
She was driven to Mlolongo Police Station, where she was threatened by the police to give them the original documents of land ownership. She refused stating that the documents were with her lawyer.
She was jailed and later taken to Machakos Law Courts on 26th April, 2019. Rose Gitau was the presiding magistrate.
She was accused of holding fake documents.
She was released on a cash bail of Kshs. 50k, she didn’t have the money, she had to spend a week in the police cells; waiting on church members to fundraise.
Later she was taken to court again and charged with applying for grant succession with fake documents.
This time around she was asked to pay Kshs. 100k cash bail which she was unable and so she was sent to Athi River Police Cells for one and half months. She was at some point transferred to Machakos Prison until a good samaritan paid her cash bail.
Before she came out of prison, she had more charges added to the first one, now they totalled to eight.
This particular cartel are intent on having her go away forever.
She now seeks justice so that she can be given back her rightful inheritance.
Remember her kids have dropped out of school; taken care of by a good neighbor and friend.
DCI Boss George Kinoti, please help this lady.
The chief editor of this site has copies of documents backing up what the lady is saying.
The thing is, someone powerful is trying to take away Damaris’s land.
He/she is using the mysterious Amina Abdallah Abubakar whose name shows up on the system at Ardhi House/ministry of lands yet doesn’t show up on hard copy documents or even Syokimau Farm Limited records.
Damaris’s granddad Johnstone Mutisya Munee, bought the piece of land from Syokimau Farm Limited in the 1980s. She left the parcel of land to her only heir, Damaris Muli even as High Court Of Kenya confirmed in 2015 and 2016 documents.
Who is Amina Abdallah Abubakar? The correspondence file doesn’t have her as the owner of the land.
How did she get into the land system at Ardhi house?
Who inserted her name in the system?
Was this done when current Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu was ‘refreshing’ the land records at Ardhi house?
Amina Abdallah Abubakar has since fenced the piece of land and employed guards to man it.
Where does she draw such authority?
Who wants Damaris to go away for along time, such that every time she appears in court she is added more charges?
This coming Wednesday, 31st July, 2019, Damaris Muli will be at Mavoko High Court where there’ll be a mention of case number 268 of 2019. The hearing will start on 14th August, 2019.
Damaris Muli fears that she will be given a bigger cash bail (which she will be unable to pay and end up in jail) or have more trumped up charges added to her chargesheet; to detriment of her already suffering children.
Damaris house was locked because of non payment of rent and she now lives with a well-wisher.
Times are hard for this lady. Though jovial when you speak to her, she has suffered.
Her only crime was to own land in a land-thirsty cartel-ladden country where there’s a thin line between politicians and criminals.
HELP DAMARIS NOW!
