Technical University of Mombasa student have protested the embezzlement of funds and mismanagement of the university.
The students are currently engaging with the police blaming the police of escalating the protest that was peaceful.
Students that we have spoken to have lamented that students who went for a sports event on November 22nd are yet to be paid their allowances by the corrupt management.
” Deadline of fee payment was put at an early date, that is 19th Nov, and exams were to kick off 7 th. They said that whoever will pay later than that, the fee will not reflect in the portal till after exam, yet the students’ handbook states well that you can sit for exams if you have cleared fees before the day of examination” Lamented a student we spoke to
