Former Youth Fund Chairman Bruce Odhiambo let out his last breath at the Nairobi Hospital early today.
Odhiambo’s name was the top trending topic on Kenyan social media just minutes after his unfortunate death was announced.
Everyone seemed to have known a different side of Bruce which was crystal clear based on the contrasting opinions aired by different Kenyans online.
Some even went ahead to speculate the possible reason behind Bruce’s death, with some coming up with theories and linking his demise to that of former Youth Fund CEO Catherine Namunye.
A huge section peddled the narrative that Mr Odhiambo’s and Namunye’s deaths were a clear indication that the “curse” of the money they looted during their respective tenures was catching up with them.
Some suggested that the mastermind of the Youth Fund Scandal had decided to finish off her accomplices one by one.

In less than two years, Catherine Namuye, her lawyer and now Bruce Odhiambo have all passed on. For Namuye and her lawyer, it smelt like an assassination to nip potentially explosive corruption revelations at the Youth Fund. That case is as good as dead.
