Eyebrows are being raised over a brewing scandal, that may blow up any time soon Cyprian Nyakundi has learnt.
It is also a testimony of the immeasurable greed within government parastatals whose top leaders have made it the habit to loot from the public tilly, with impunity.
Trident Insurance was pre-qualified to put in their tender document for the provision of medical cover to staff to the National Water Harvesting And Storage Authority, documents seen by the editor of this website confirm.
In December, the tenders were evaluated with trident being the lowest bidder as to their tender document which they had attached a comprehensive list of service providers.
Trident was awarded the tender then signed a contract worth Ksh. 32 Million with a down payment of Ksh. 15 Million paid out, only for Trident to give a very different list of service providers (shoddy) from the one they attached to their tender.
We can confirm that Staff can hardly get any medical assistance and some staffers that we confidentially spoke to are demanding for termination of the contract as trident has breached the contract.
It is bg rumoured that Trident belongs to a very prominent person in the ministry of water, hence staff suffering at this man’s expense.
The Ag.MD has neither talked abt it nor taken any action because trident should’ve been sued by the institution.
