Clashes between the Somali National Army (SNA) and Jubaland Forces. No reports of casualties yet. We pray and hope that civilian population won’t be victims of this supremacy battle. All telecommunication networks in Mandera town switched off.
Bulla Hawa a town on the border of Somalia and Kenya that borders Mandera town to the East is currently the focal point and hotspot for an ongoing supremacy battle between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the Administration of the Jubaland State of Somalia.
For the past 3 weeks, the SNA and the Jubaland forces have been on the verge of clashing in a supremacy battle that is aimed at shaping the control of Jubaland. The FGS administration in Mogadishu is focused on toppling Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe who has the support of the Kenyan Government.
