The war of words pitting Deputy President William Ruto and ODM Leader Raila Odinga concerning kimwarer and arror dams project continues.
In an address to leaders at the 6th Devolution Conference in Kirinyaga, Raila continued to accuse Ruto of corruption, arguing he is guilty of taking money meant for the dam projects.
‘…if you are talking about the theft the dams and figures are there, don’t come and tell us that’s its not 21 billion (sic), it is only 7 (billion). Let the investigative authorities complete their investigations,’ Raila charged.
Today, at the same conference, DP Ruto said the former Prime Minister had raised some pertinent issues that warranted his response, as a matter of principle.
‘As the deputy president of the republic of Kenya…I have an interest in the construction of dams as per Jubilee manifesto’, Ruto said.
Exchanges between the two has often culminated in putrid name calling.
While Raila brands Ruto as ‘high priest of corruption, the deputy president refers to Raila as the ‘lord of poverty’ who loves uganga (magic).
There’s more. Here is the video of Ruto responding to Raila.
