A video circulating online shows a Sukhoi 100 super jet plane landing on the runway engulfed in Flames.
The Sukhoi 100 super jet belonging to Aeroflot, Russia’s unofficial national carrier, was taking off from Sheremetyevo International Airport in Khimki, Moscow enroute to Murmansk returned immediately after a fire was reported onboard.
Over thirty (37) passengers onboard were evacuated to safety; five suffered injuries and were hospitalized.
New Developments
It’s now emerging that over 41 passengers died in the plane crash.
Our initial reporting, that no one was killed, had depended in Russian officials who it seems lied about casualties. We apologize for this.
However, it still remains a miracle that an airborne plane encountering problems could turn back and land and save so many lives.
