An old clip of Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and his Kiambu counterpart Ferdinand Waititu resurfaced online on Friday morning as Kenyans rekindled the moment the two political heavyweights almost exchanged blows in Malindi over voter bribery allegations.
On March 7, 2016, Joho confronted Ferdinand Waititu at Malindi police station where the then Kabete MP had been held.
That day, Waititu had been arrested at Central Primary School polling station in Malindi town after some party agents accused him of suspicious activities.
CORD politicians led by Joho stormed the station demanding that Waititu be detained.
Waititu was clearly outnumbered but stood his ground; telling Joho that they were not in Mombasa.
