Detectives from the Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) yesterday arrested some five terror suspects who were suspected to be planning an attack in Nairobi.
The five suspects included 2 Kenyans, a US citizen and 2 Somali nationals are said to have been carrying out a surveillance at Whiskey River pub along Kiambu Road.

ARREST OF TERROR SUSPECT.
It was reported vide Runda police station OB 8/17/1/20 that there was suspected terrorist carrying out surveillance at Wisky river pub along Kiambu road using M/v KCR 598M make toyata vitz white in colour.
The M/v was circulated and today 18/1/2019 the said m/v was intercepted by pangani 6 Crue and arrested there in five terrorist suspect namely
- Mohamed Abas Mohamud – USA citizen
- Mohamed Hassan Bario -Somalia national
- Mohamed Adan – Kenyan driver,
- Hodan Abdi Ismail female Somalia national
- Ifrah Mohammed Abshir female Somalia national.

Upon search and interogation, the following exhibit was recovered
- One trouser Kenyan Airforce trouser,
- one jungle t-shirt
- 0ne jungle hut
- One jungle trouser
- Money in various currency and denomination i.e Us dollar, Ksh and Somalia Shs
- One laptop make Mac book.
- One US passport
- one US embassy security card,
- Various cheques.
The suspect was placed on custody vide Pangani 0B 35/18/1/2020.
