Dirty matatu terminus such as the Kenya Railways Matatu terminus is a health hazard even before the coronavirus stroke Kenya.
Below are pictures that I took months ago. The place hasn’t changed a bit.
The Railways Matatu terminus is used by people going to Rongai, Ngong Kibra and worse still the rural areas who use the Easy Coach buses.
It is a congested, wet and dirty area that might prove a health hazard.
The patient zero came from Rongai and if she/he used matatus then our goose is cooked in the next two weeks. A spot check of the countermeasures on defeating coronavirus such as handwashing, and using hand sanitizers are a joke at the matatu station.
Overcrowding is also a normal occurence here.
Cnyakundi.com urges Kenyans to self-isolate.
Cnyakundi.com is asking the govt to close down travels or screen them and allow them to travel to rural areas, as for Nairobi, shut down everything.
Cnyakundi.com calls upon the police to observe the law and not be bought by a few handouts from people who want to silence bloggers at this critical time.
