Caption: DJ Creme with some aspiring Kenyan DJ’s. We hope that they won’t be as mediocre as he is.
Just the other day I was reading your article on “Kenya the Land of Bullshit Deejays” and couldn’t help laughing but at the same time agreed with you, you had a real point.
But my main concern though is why is it that in Kenya we do not have DJs who remix and at the same time produce music like the likes of David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Avicii, just to mention a few. Why is it that Kenyan DJs don’t want to think out of the box and stick to only playing what artists give them instead of spicing things up?
But guess what! Am that one DJ with a vision to revolutionize the DJ industry here. Am out to remix as many Kenyan songs as possible and at the same time make originals but from a different perspective. My mission is to introduce a totally new electronic beat and make it mainstream.
For you to get a taste of what of I am talking about, I have attached two private links for you to listen to at the bottom.
All am requesting from you is if you like my work, if you can blog about it I will highly appreciate it.
First track (Nyongwa) will be out most likely on Thursday this week but latest next week.
Please let me know any information you may require or your take on it. And my name is DJ Okero by the way.
Thank you.
