After our first expose’, this is what the Principal of Nyali School is doing. According to the staff, corruption is still the order of the day.

Corruption has refused to get out of Nyali School just as what is happening at Maasai Mara University.
It is disheartening to note that after the revelation of the massive impunity that exists in Nyali School, the principal and some of the board members have stood firm to maintain the looting spree that has destroyed the school image. The cartels have done all they could do to derail efforts by the Mombasa parents members to bring back transparency, accountability and good school management. This itself tells a thousand things. They now even boast that the looting will continue and no one dares disrupt them.
The principal (a former District Officer) has vowed to use all what is in his disposal to protect his huge projects which requires millions per month (money that he easily obtains through fleecing of the school’s funds). His projects include but not limited to construction of a maisonette in Shanzu, his secretly run school (Paramount school) and many others. He played down the issue of the Nyali school bus scandal, kickbacks, inflation of purchases, misuse of power, bribery, nepotism, and many other evil things that have dominated the school under his watchful eyes.
In his effort to fight back, the principal started inputting fear into Mombasa parents members saying, those calling for his resignation are out to bring down the school and cause disruption of studies. Several times since the revelation of the bus scandal, the principal has gone on to bring a witchcraft from Nigeria to undertake rituals in the school under the watch of the school kids. When he saw parents are not accepting his nonsense and demanding his resignation and transparency, the principal and his cartels started looking for evil ways of surviving.
It is sad to note that, the cartels have now started using government offices to ensure their survival. These cartels refused in the first place to honor a call by parents and trustees to hold a special general meeting (SGM) to iron out things. They were sure that the meeting will end up in their dismissal. They have stood firm against the SGM.
Dear parents, the principal recently reported one of the Mombasa parents member to the Department of Criminal investigation (DCI) using false allegations. His mistake was, he was spearheading a call for transparency, accountability and good school management. The parent honored the DCI summon and cleared himself. The DCI even offered help to nab the principal if parents report him on his corruption. Parents are currently working with legal team on this option.
When Mombasa parents won the battle to have the SGM on the 28th September 2019 (a notice from the secretary attached), the principal knew he is not far from exiting the school. He started using some of standard 8 parents impacting them with fear, telling them to refuse the meeting as it will make their kids disqualified for not adhering to government directives. Ironically, the same principal went against the government’s directive and ordered the same class 8 to come for August 2019 holiday tuition. It took intervention of some parents to call off the August holiday tuition. We are asking the Principal, at that point, dint he know that the kids could be disqualified in their final exams for having the holiday tuition? Still in the third term, some activities have been scheduled in the school. Isn’t this against the govt directives?
When the trustees ordered for the SGM, the chairperson was ordered to hold the meeting outside the school compound to adhere to the govt directive. Dear parents, plz note that, the govt has NOT banned club members to meet outside the school and deliberate on club’s issues. However, the club’s secretary (a senior Counsel) went on to put the venue to be the school (attached notice). This was a clear move by the secretary to protect the cartels. He was sure that the venue will be used as a scapegoat to knock off the meeting. To counter this, parents wrote a letter to the secretary demanding for additional agenda and change of the venue (attached letter), however, the letter was not considered. This clearly showed that the Secretary was part of the cartels. In any way, the Secretary took out his kids from Nyali School after seeing massive corruption in the school. He is clearly not feeling the pain of corruption in the school. Additionally, the secretary is illegally in office after serving his two terms in office.
It is sad to note that the principal has now further gone to influence the Mombasa County Director of Education Mr. Moses Makori to issue a letter calling for the meeting to be called Off (attached letter). Its unfortunate that Mr. Makori has been dragged into a matter which he less understands. He is now being used to protect looters of the school’s funds. The meeting has now been called off because of Mr. Makori’s letter (attached notice). We now call for the EACC to immediately investigate Mr. Makori.
Dear members, the looters will NOT have their way this time. The SGM will go ON. If not, Mombasa parents have other plans to ensure our funds are not fleeced and all the cartels are chased out of the school. The parents shall do all what is legally possible to ensure looters of our funds are out of our school. Dear parents, the looters are sweet talking parents to beg them believe in their innocence and are now fighting to keep themselves in their positions to continue looting. Don’t be carried away, God will defeat their corruption and sanity will be restored in school. We are not relenting.
