Guest Writer,
Isn’t it strange that our normal rain patterns within Nairobi and a radius of about 80KM, rains which used to be predictable, are suddenly failing & can no longer be relied on just around the same years the Chinese are doing back to back mega infrastructure projects within the same radius?
While acknowledging climate change, is it farfetched to suspect that the Chinese (who are probably the best in the field of weather & climate modification) are employing cloud scattering techniques so that the rain doesn’t slow or disrupt their competition schedule?
I’m 39 years old & in all my life I’ve never seen dark rain clouds gather, darken the sky in the daytime & then suddenly disperse. And this happens every other day.
Can’t just be down to ‘climate change’. Remember they stopped rain for the Beijing Olympics 2008, stopped it for a military parade in 2009 etc so it’s not farfetched to think they’d do the same for their road projects.
I’m not a conspiracy theorist but something doesn’t add up. It’s been raining in neighboring Uganda & Tanzania, but not in Nairobi & it’s immediate surroundings.
I tried asking State House & Nzioka Waita on Twitter but they totally ignored the question.
Could you kindly inquire on behalf of the public as the drought ravaging & destroying livelihoods could be a self-inflicted wound?
After all we’re dealing with a political regime that doesn’t seem to care about citizens as we saw with how poorly & corruptly they handled Covid without any regard for citizens?
