Good morning Nyakundi,
I wish to appreciate your efforts you put in to expose the rot in the society and Kenya at large.
Recently, you put up a list of companies that are laying off their staff in disguise of streamlining their operations in these hard economic times. I wish to bring to your attention that it is not just private organizations that are retrenching their workforce but also the public ones.
I work at Kenyatta University. Over the past one year, the university has laid off close to 1000 employees and still going. The sacking has been carried out in phases with the latest being last moth.
It all started off with the staff on contract being coerced into signing seasonal contracts (attached) with a threat of missing out on the payroll. Since then, people have been laid off without any official communication.
Please hide the personal information in the contract copy attached. (We have decided not to post this)
