Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has responded to the rumours surrounding her relationship with the late businessman Jacob Juma.
In a recent interview on Vybez Radio, Nyamu shared her side of the story, saying that she was wrongly linked to Juma following his death.
Nyamu revealed that Juma was a client of the law firm where she used to work, but their relationship was purely professional.
“I first became a target of public attention because of negative trending. My name was dragged into the spotlight after Juma’s death, who was a client at the law firm I used to work at. The rumours that he was killed because of me and the subsequent labelling as a ‘gold digger’ by some blogs were difficult to deal with,” said Nyamu.
In recent weeks, the Senator has been keeping a low profile, as she attempts to shed her scandalous past.
Her most recent antics in Dubai where she had a confrontational episode with singer Samidoh’s wife Edday Nderitu, earned her a summons to appear before the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party disciplinary committee.
Despite the incidents, she remained unapologetic, stating that she has cut ties permanently with her baby daddy and is not ashamed of her actions.
However, the mother of three later vowed to steer clear of similar situations in the future, as she focuses on moving forward and leaving her abrasive reputation behind.
