Murdered Kisumu NGO staff Joseph ‘Josmob’ Onyango was buried on Saturday, 5th Sept 2020 at his father’s home in Gem Dudi.
Josmob as he was fondly referred to by friends, met his death on 25th August 2020 after being allegegly (on accounts of witnesses) invited to a party by his friend and former colleague Leonard Okwany, where he was never seen alive again. His body was discovered on 26th August 2020, in a dam still oozing blood.
Kondele Police station has never arrested any suspects in what obviously turned out as a murder as per the postmortem results which showed Josmob died as a result of being repeatedly hit by a blunt object on the head (at the back and front) and also breaking several ribs.

It took the intervention of this blog to push police into action to question suspects. Because it is very strange that police found a body floating at Kameta Dam in Nyalenda Kisumu, but never investigated the death.
The first suspects in such a case are those who were with Mr Onyango at the alleged party, but most have not been brought in for questioning.
Curious whispers
It is the host Mr Leonard Okwany who first reported Joseph missing.
A night guard in a nearby house allegedly said he saw a trail of blood from the gate of the house where the party was held, he was briefly arrested and released after protests from neighbours.
Some witnesses allegedly saw the host around Kameta Dam in the morning of 25th August 2020.
Neighbours at the flat where the party took place allegedly heard commotions but are afraid to tell police these fearing for their safety as the Apartment’s owner, Josmob’s friend, Leonard Okwany, is well connected.
Cnyakundi.com call on DCI Kisumu to speed up investigations into the death of Joseph ‘Josmob’ Onyango.
Mr Onyango leaves behind one wife and three kids.
