Today we are back at Parklands Arya Girls High School, a public secondary in Westlands constituency, Nairobi County, that keeps dominating this blog’s headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Over the past two months, we have consistently covered submissions from parents exposing extensive fraud and extortion overseen by rogue Senior Principal, Madam Rhoda Ogaro, who is accused of demanding outrageous amounts of money to fund many ghost construction projects that are never completed.
By the way, all building works are tendered to companies associated with her.
Other methods of extortion include excessive fees for uniforms and set books, which are typically provided by the government.
Mark you, area MP Tim Wanyonyi, has been adequately appropriating millions of shillings to the school as CDF.
As time went by, parents opened up about how the headmistress has been promoting corruption at the learning institution by openly soliciting for bribes for favors like irregular admission of ineligible students.
Even children with special needs can be admitted to the school so long as the required “token” is given.
In previous articles regarding the deteriorating state of affairs at the school, attention was also drawn to the gross unprofessionalism by its teachers who are often underpaid, demoralized, and always desperate to make some quick cash by whichever means necessary.
Support staff work on weekends with no overtime.
They say that the principal has pocketed all local education officers, so airing their grievances is a total waste of time.
During these trying times, cnyakundi.com has proven to be a much-needed haven for the disgruntled parents and workforce to air out their frustrations against the current placed administration.
One after the other, they continue to come forward to uncover the can of worms at Parklands Arya Girls High School.

In the latest outburst forwarded to our inbox, a section of guardians have now requested a lifestyle audit on the scandalous headmistress.
They want her to explain the source of massive wealth that she has quickly amassed during her 6-year tenure at the school.
It is alleged that when she took over in 2016, the school bank account had a fixed deposit of Sh10m, which the administration cannot account for.
Not to mention many donations and contributions from local leaders.
For instance, a contribution of Sh100k by area MP Tim Wanyonyi to teachers in 2019 melted into thin air after she refused to surrender it to its rightful recipients.
The same case applies to contributions made by parents.
On matters of teacher mistreatment, the misery does not stop there.
A source has disturbingly informed us that Madam Ogaro is always in a constant cold war with female tutors.
In extreme situations, some have confessed to being physically assaulted.
We also understand that ever since this blog embarked on a series of publications targeting the school, the principal has fallen into deep panic mode and embarked on plans to organize a mock inspection exercise in collaboration with corrupt officials from the Westlands education office to help her sanitize the ongoing evils.
The parents have now urged the EACC, DCI, or any Ministry of Education executives left with an ounce of dignity to immediately launch investigations into the bizarre happenings at the school, failure to which they will mount a major public protest at the beginning of the next term.
“Hi, Nyakundi,
I want to thank you for the exposure of the thievery at Parklands Arya Girls.
Following the piece, new information has come out.
When the principal took over, there was a school account with a fixed deposit of Sh10m, which she immediately possessed on reporting to the school in 2016.
Parents are calling for a wealth audit.
Let her explain the source of the money for her expansive property acquisition in the 6 years she has been at the school.
She has acquired a lot of property in land and construction.
A former teacher at the school has informed us of the level of impunity to the extent that she, on several occasions, physically assaulted several young female teachers with whom she seems in a constant war.
They cannot account for every coin contributed by parents for because she personally gets the money.
A case that stands out is a contribution of Sh100k contributed by area MP to teachers in 2019.
She refused to surrender the money to the teachers, and no one knows how the money was utilized.
Money contributed by parents for the motivation of teachers has been diverted to unknown uses over the years.
Our sources at the ministry of education have whispered to us that the thieving principal has from Monday this week organized a mock inspection with her Westlands education officials to sanitize her corruption.
We are calling for EACC, DCI or an independent body to investigate and make the investigations public to the parents.
If she goes ahead to sanitize her actions, we are planning to hold a demonstration at the school at the beginning of next term.
I know she may have reached out to you to buy you out or intimidate you, but do not relent.
She ensures that at any given time there is a project going on in school as a disguise to siphon money.
We will not give up until all the stolen money is accounted for,” the source writes.
Parents across the country continue to plead for the government’s intervention over rampant cases of outright extortion by school administrators.
Over the past year, this blog has covered many such cases where public institutions have been brought to light for crafting creative ways to levy extra fees without justification.
