Riruta Ward residents in Dagorreti South, Nairobi are up in arms against their elusive Member of County Assembly (MCA) Erick Kiogora.
Since his election, the MCA has failed to open an office where he can be easily accessed, causing widespread frustration among the community.
“We elected him to be our voice, but where is he? We have no one to turn to with our problems and it’s not fair,” said one resident.
The residents claim that the MCA has been dodging all attempts to meet and interact with them, leaving them feeling neglected and unheard.
“Every time we try to make an appointment, he is either ‘busy’ or ‘out of town’. We are tired of the excuses,” said another resident.
The situation has become particularly dire for parents who cannot afford to take their children to form one.
They demand that the MCA should immediately open an office and start fulfilling his duties as their elected representative, or else they will escalate the matter to higher authorities.
“So many parents are struggling and have no one to turn to for help. This is unacceptable. We voted for him to represent us, not to hide from us,” another resident added.
It is time for MCA Kiriba to step up and start serving the people who elected him.
