The government of Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto has embarked on roads expansion near the white elephant Nairobi Expressway.
Building and small business owners around Mukuru Kwa Njenga were not spared as tractors moves to demolition all their source of livelihoods.
It was painful to watch as business owners rushed to salvage whatever they can so as to use to rebuild.
According to reports, the notice for demolition was issued rather rush. Most were caught unawares due to the little time given.
Since Uhuru Kenyatta took over Nairobi County Government, he has used the excuse of curfew and the illegal Nairobi Metropolitan Services to commit human rights abuses on the lowly.
From late 2020 through to early 2021, many businesses and buildings including residential ones in Eastlands parts of Njiru, Kayole, Umoja 3, Dandora and Manyanja road have been demolished. Some were demolished in the cover of darkness and the media were bought not to cover it.
Most of the demolitions are being done despite court orders against them.
Mr Uhuru believes he will forever rule Kenya and that most of his atrocities and illegal activities will not be revisited.
