Today we are back at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) where this blog has consistently exposed ongoing injustices overseen by rogue and incompetent Director-General Dr. Eliud K. Kireger.
Over the past few weeks, disgruntled employees at the state-funded organization have come forward to unearth a myriad of irregularities and historical injustices dating back many years.
Some issues raised included crooked promotions, rampant discrimination of staffers and endemic graft by top officials.

This has ultimately led to heightened levels of social stress, gross inequality and social exclusion, which violate national integration laws.
The toxic working environment has provided fertile ground for employees to undergo untold suffering, mental anguish and illness resulting from stress.
Most recently, we shined the light on how the organization has been frustrating workers by deliberately altering their payslips before proceeding to hold them against their wishes.
Staffers were reportedly left puzzled when their February payslips arrived with multiple irregularities like missing shares amount and non-uniform loan balances.
Other minor but costly errors ranged from date of birth, personal numbers, NHIF and NSSF remittances.
For the following months of March and April, and now May, they are yet to be handed their payslips.
In the latest submission shared below, our trusted and reliable source at the corporation bitterly laments that there seems to be no near end in sight to the cat and mouse games being played on the pressing matter.
All their cries to the officials at the KALRO Headquarters in Nairobi have fallen on deaf ears.
Their payslips are yet to be rectified and the culprits who intentionally bungled them up are still roaming free.
They have also expressed heavy disappointment at various state authorities privy to the sensitive matter for quietly watching as they painfully suffer the heavy injustice.
As interested parties, the silence from the KRA, EACC and DCI is indeed upsetting.

‘The damage done in one year can sometimes take ten or twenty years to repair’ ― Chinua Achebe
For four months now, KALRO employees have been treated to unending drama regarding their payslips.
The many calls that the staff make daily to KALRO Headquarters have yielded nothing.
For an institution that boasts of having the country’s best brains in the Agriculture sector to be subjected to such rudimentary indignities is intolerable.
This house seems to be crumbling and the earlier this is corrected the better.
The research scientists should be in the field busy developing new varieties and breeds, writing proposals to attract donor funds and not to be lamenting the lack of pay slips.
Mr Nyakundi, please share this widely with all concerned bodies such as the KRA, EACC, and DCI.
Indiscretions of this magnitude are aimed at beating the investigative authorities.
In the meantime, we request the public to recommend us a good lawyer because we have already identified those officers who are involved in these cover-ups and we must hold them individually responsible,” the source writes.
