A few weeks ago, Julie Gichuru was attacked by Kenyans on Twitter for asking basic questions and conducting a Sunday Live interview in a manner that raised eyebrows . ” So Julie Gichuru has now started doing PR for Corrupt individuals ” One Twitter user wondered . Twitter was on fire that day . As Usual, she took on social media to clear her name but from deep within she now knows that Kenyans have known the real her, She can no longer hide .

The Committee consisted of Abas Gullet and even Safaricom’s Bob Collymore among others . It is alleged that Julie Gichuru was used to solicit for sympathy from Kenyans to make them contribute .

Nowadays Sunday Live doesnt Trend on Twitter .Yesterday, KTN Checkpoint was Trending on Twitter but Sunday Live was nowhere to be seen . When I did a basic search on Twitter, nobody was talking about Sunday Live as compared to checkpoint where Tweets stream in very fast . This shows that Kenyans are shunning Citizen Tv’s Sunday Live .
One wonders why a Journalist who used to be respected is losing credibility ! Why Julie Gichuru ?
It is a worrying trend in the Kenyan media . Rich corrupt people , desperately pay corrupt journalists to do PR for them when they are implicated in Mega scandals . Some have succeeded while other attempts to do PR for the corrupt have backfired . The KQ PR stint backfired and left many business Journalists hiding their faces in shame after misleading Kenyans that KQ was doing well. I will soon name the most corrupt journalists led by Business Journalists .
In Kenya, It is easy for the rich to kill your brand by using you to clean their name . Is this what has happened to Julie Gichuru ? Will I be wrong by saying she is overrated and needs to exit our screens ?
