Statistically motorcycles road accidents have been a major cause of injuries and deaths not only in Kenya but around the globe. However with the latest Technological inventions accidents will soon be a thing of the past.
Since invention, Airbags has so far lived to its expectation by saving a lot of lives during car accidents.
The Airbag Technology has been slowly crawling into the motorcycles industry since 2015 with development such as lifesaving jackets inflated with carbon dioxide.
Well, Cheddar Gadgets are about to unveil latest Airbag system that could soon bring death toll from motorcycle accidents to zero.
The airbag system which is currently under development is fitted with two seat belts which secures the system between the rider and the seat.
The system is set to be immediately deployed when motion sensors detect a sudden change in speed during movement.
When triggered the airbag completely wraps itself on the rider preventing direct collision with objects.
The jacket inflates, offering a complete protection for your head, neck, back, chest, hip, legs and sides.
However it’s not yet clear how effective the system will be as it may be triggered by false alarm during emergency brakes.
Attached below is a video simulation of how it is expected to operate:
